32,768 Hz Crystal Oscillator
Crystal oscillator suitable for creating a frequency of 1 or 2 Hz by means of frequency division (CD4060 for example or MCU).
Quartz crystals are widely used to ensure the stability of oscillators. Some circuits, not only on the Internet but also in books, only work in theory, and when we simulate them or mount them on a breadboard, they do not oscillate. When I learned that a time base for generating 1 Hz waves was an oscillation of a quartz crystal of 32,768 Hz divided by 2 raised to the power of 15 (2^15 = 32,768), I looked for oscillators with that time base and set up an oscillator with a 32,768 Hz crystal. The output has an amplitude of 100 mV and I amplified the signal with an opamp to get a level suitable for a microcontroller or TTL circuit.
